Scratch Built 28mm Castle/Dungeon Interior WIP

As you may have gathered, I tend to have many projects on the go most of the time. This time I’d like to share my part done castle interior, I plan on doing the outside later with some towers and such, so I can use it as a castle ruin on the  battlefield as well as the interior for dungeon bash type games as well. I eventually will get around to making some other interior dungeon tiles that can be swapped about to create different layouts. You may notice that there are gaps and a few spots where I have failed to get into with the paint. This is due to the fact I am on my last dregs of black paint and was running out, I added the grey drybrush to show up better on the pictures as the ones I did were a bit devoid of detail with the black undercoat. As with a lot of my models, this is 100% made from recycled cardboard, the glue and paint were the only things that needed cash outlay, even the barrel is paper!  This terrain is far from finished, there is much to do, stained glass windows, maybe a lighting effect summoning circle, and of course the exterior, which is almost like a seperate building in itself! Again as you can see, Boris the 28mm minotaur is in the photos for scale purposes!

My question to you is, anything that I should add or try?

  1. Oh, and to answer your question, I wonder if you could pull of torches in wall sconces washing the walls with orange light.Or maybe a magical pool in that center area with a resident Water Weird.

    1. Thanks, the idea of adding a few torches was something I hadn’t thought of! The centre does need a piece, I’m not sure what yet, a pool would be good, but I think it needs something evil looking! Thanks for the ideas!
