The Future, Dear reader, the future….!

wtf

So, as I sit here and ponder, just where the fuck have my tutorial pictures gone for my next Grim’s Dungeons of Doom article, lost in my 10,000 file folders it seems, it got me drifting off, thinking about what to do for future posts.

Sure, I’ll be doing more dungeons posts, as well as more crowdfunding spotlights, and more news of future releases from me, but just what do you, my readers want to see featured here?

So, rather than post up a poll, I wanted to engage you lot, to see what you think? More dedicated industry interviews (I had planned it, but do you want them?) Terrain tutorials? Reviews? 15 or 28mm?

I’ve finally managed to get hold of Frostgrave, so would you want to see something relating to that, be it 15mm terrain for the game, or a focus on the 28mm? More craft/making stuff, whatever it be?

So many things, so many decisions.

So I throw it over to you. Let me know in the comments section, or contact me directly if you have suggestions, ideas or what ever you’d like.

You know, this site isn’t just here to keep promoting my variety of tat, it is to entertain and enlighten (well, maybe thats going too far!) and of course, I do it for you all, my lovely readers!!

Let me know!

Grim

  1. I love your work! As a recent adherent to Frostgrave I would personally like you to go more in that direction. Your dungeon stuff is awesome and if what I think is going to happen to Frostgrave is a direction where the game will be going in the future. The game seems to be going up up up! But I think the future of Frostgrave will be in the down down down of the underworld! Again I hate to be such a Fanboy but I love your work! Keep it up!

    1. Thanks!! Well, I have a copy of the game now, so once I immerse myself in it and get a feel for what’s needed, I’ll take a stab at some terrain for it. I must say, I do miss making full scenic pieces in 28mm, so I think I’ll be going down that route, even so I like the idea of 15mm, I’m slowly building up lots of 28mm accessories that would be of use. I think 15mm is what I’ll keep for my scifi and zombie games, and fantasy in 28mm.
Thanks for the praise too, if anything your recent work on your own Frostgrave scenery has been inspiring and what eventually made me consider it in the first place!! 🙂

  2. Another vote for Frostgrave, after “Zomtober” a couple of us will be running our Mo’vember challenge and this year we have to paint up a Frostgrave warband as part of this, so I for one would love some scenic tutorials for this, or you could even join in our fun, I’m feverishly converting as we speak!

    Cheers Roger.

    1. Nice one, thats another vote for Frostgrave stuff. I haven’t had chance to read it properly yet (Its been hectic today) but have seen a load of reviews and articles, so I’m building up some ideas I think! I wanna get a nice sit down and a brew, and really start to have a good long read to immerse myself even more before some cool scenic pieces start springing to mind, I might even sculpt some custom figures to fit my warbands!!

  3. Too bad about losing those Dungeons of Doom files, but if you do find them, I’d really like to see the series continue. I’m thinking of overhauling my basic set of 2.5D dungeon tiles, and your stuff here is fantastic.

    1. Thanks for your comment! Don’t worry about the files, I have got substitute ones to fill in the for the lost ones, and that the next article is up on site now https://thegrinningskull.wordpress.com/2015/10/02/grims-dungeons-of-doom-adventures-in-expanded-foam-part-2-cavern-entrances-doorways/, I’ll be continuing the Dungeons of Doom articles as long as people want to read them, and I’m starting to realise the whole series is quite popular! I hope you’ll share the pics if you decide to have a go at making them with my “recipe” 😉
