More little piggy sculpts and a bit of news….

Hello there, I have been a tad busy, so haven’t had much of a chance to post here in the last two days, but I have been quite a busy bee!!

I have another two Oggam sculpts done, the Demolitions Oggam, and an Oggam standard barer. I gave the standard a kind of Fidel Castro-esque look, as well as being a feral (I hadn’t done any thus far) The Demolitions expert is armed to the teeth with TNT, grenades and a combat knife (and a pair of shades) He’s Ok, not my better sculpt (Well, not my fave anyway)

All that I need now is a medic and another trooper (maybe a spotter with some binoculars or something)

Now, I have sculpted a little alien merc, just as a practice. It’s a kind of cat/rat humanoid thing that I have named a Criat (Taken from the Czech word for “servant” I think, rather apt for a mercenary/hired hand!)

Having just done it as a bit fun, like a sculpted doodle, I thought I might try my luck at getting it submitted to 15mm.co.uk’s SHM range. I can now proudly announce that all being well and it survives the pre moulding tests, you will be able to get your hands on the copies of my figure in the not too distant future. He has been sent over to them now and hopefully (I should think everything will be fine) you’ll be seeing it included in that range! I now can say that I’m a bonafide mini sculptor, and I’m sure that I’ll be submitting more of my “green doodles” as I have a few things I’d like to see made in shiny white metal!!

Of course I will be keeping you updated on my progress with this as soon as I know more myself. I must admit I love the idea of others getting to use stuff I designed and made on the tabletop, it’s something I think I would always get a kick out of!!

  1. Oh snap, you sculpt these from scratch? I know some good model painters but you’re the first one I’ve heard of straight sculpting them. Btw I nominated you for the Libster Award. Details are on my latest post.

    1. Yeah, I’m making them totally from scratch as I am going to make a whole line of figures with them. As soon as I raise the casting costs after I have the main sculpts done, I can send them to the mouldmakers and then they will mass produce them! If it takes off and people want to buy my figures, I’ll keep doing it and become a miniature company!
Thanks for the award, I think its customary from what I have seen to thank you and link you back (Formally on my blog of course!) and nominate 5 blogs of my choice for one too. Again thanks and I’ll get to doing a post about it! (first though have to finish some art for a client…!)
