Wargaming an urban warzone? Take a look at these…..

I saw a mention of these the other day, and I thought it would be of interest to the 15mm zombie enthusiast (and 28mm too) This Commission Figurines KS is really up my alley, I could see loads of real zombie wargaming potential here, even so they  seem to be geared for WW2 games, these… Continue reading Wargaming an urban warzone? It’s been the ruin of me! Scratch built 15mm modern ruins scenery!

So, I thought I'd also share my latest additions to my scratch built scenery, my post apoc blasted modern ruins. I intended these for use in modern to zombie, post apoc and sci-fi. I try and make stuff that will fit a wide range of use due to real lack of storage, otherwise I would… Continue reading It’s been the ruin of me! Scratch built 15mm modern ruins scenery!

Will Tabletop Towns Kickstarter proove to be a box of delights?

Tabletop Towns. by Julian G Hicks — Kickstarter. So, yet another kickstarter, this time with table top terrain designed to fold flat for easy storage and transport, these 28mm buildings are what seems to be constructed in box style and taken down in much the same way you would a cardboard packet, and I assume… Continue reading Will Tabletop Towns Kickstarter proove to be a box of delights?

Bug Hunt Corridors by Fantasy Arc Kickstarter

Bug Hunt Corridors by Fantasy Arc — Kickstarter. I would sell my grandma for a set of these! Seriously, these are way cool scenics being offered on KS at the moment. More 15mm Alien plant terrain- Alien swamp

So I thought I would share my latest finished alien plant terrain piece, I regret, I wished had more time to spare between my projects, wargaming, sculpting and real life commitments.  Usually I would have taken some WIP shots as I made the piece, but due to time constraints and not having my camera charged,… Continue reading More 15mm Alien plant terrain- Alien swamp

Black Dog HQ landing pad scenic WIP

Every time I walk past the HQ model of the Black dog building I made, I get the urge to start expanding the scenery how I had intended to originally. I do then, realise that this kind of thing needs time devoted to it. Yesterday, I had a couple of hours spare to get something… Continue reading Black Dog HQ landing pad scenic WIP

The thing that had attracted me to Hawk Wargames “Dropship Commander” in the first place were the excellent looking buildings, but it seems the resin scenics crazy prices are another step too far for sensible wargamers. I think I’ll pass….

Rulebook_IMG1_1024x1024If you listened to episode 97 of the podcast, you will have heard Mike & I giving Dropzone Commander a reasonably positive review – the rules are pretty good, but I have some reservations on figure pricing.

And indeed, it’s about pricing that I wanted to write about in this post.

After the initial product launch, there has not been a great deal of new material released from Hawk Wargames until a few weeks ago, when they finally released the resin buildings that they had been promising for several months. I first heard about this on the Shell Case blog when they posted a new item on the new buildings.

I read it and was flabbergasted. I went to the Hawk Wargames website and was doubly flabbergasted.

The prices of Hawk’s resin buildings almost defy belief. They start at £35 for the cheapest building, which is a 95 piece kit, and this…

15mm scratch built junk shuttle craft WIP

So I'm back to doing my 15mm salvage crew HQ. So far I have done my main admin block/junkyard, and I had another piece part done that goes on the front of it, a section on road with odds and sods on it. However, a good examination of the model revealed it was bland. Hardly… Continue reading 15mm scratch built junk shuttle craft WIP
